'Velvet Cloud' is the brand based on my name's pronunciation in English, "Clau", which pretty much sounds like cloud. Velvet referring to the love of organic shapes and fluid motions, which are interpreted in my work.
I'm currently an LA based artist, born and raised in Mexico. I have traveled the world and love to take inspiration from people I have met, places I have seen, architecture and nature. My practice often revolves around sculpture that challenges the shape, form and materials.
